Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to everyone!
I didn't work on much this week due to the build up of the holidays. I had to wrap presents for my wife and start preparing food. I got some projects mapped out so that I could start working on them in the new year. One thing I did work on over the past week however was a new Pelican 'blog' for a gift that I made for my wife. This past year, as a gift, I wrote my wife a letter every week. The blog will post a letter each week to her on Sunday. I really like Pelican. It is so simple to use and I much prefer generating the files for new posts over logging into a CMS and writing posts there.
This week at work I will be mostly working from home since we are in a quiet period. I've got some projects that I am working on and will dedicate my time to them. Sometime this week I will also start working on my New Year's resolutions. I am still not sure what my goals for next year are. I think that I want to create a kind of tiered system for goals. Something that contains major and minor goals. That way I can have a way of tracking progress and achieving the minor goals will help drive me towards achieving the major goals.
As this week progresses I will have a better understanding of what goals I want to set and how I plan to achieve them. My next update post will primarily focus on that. I will hopefully generate a list and as the year progresses I will be able to start marking things complete on the list. As it stands, I am extremely excited for 2018. I am hoping to continue my technical growth and I really hope to break through to the next level in my career. I am definitely more driven than ever, hungrier than before and am excited to start kicking down doors. See y'all next week!
